What is an online business listing and why is it critical for my business?Unlike search engines which contain everything from recipes to vacation photos to business websites, local search sites and business directories are like the yellow pages and display mainly structured information about businesses. Customers in your area are searching online for businesses like yours, and if your business is not listed in these local search sites with up-to-date information, customers may not be able to find you. WebListings allows you to easily enter and update your business listing in one central place, and will submit it to major local search sites for display online.

Why can't I just enter my information directly at each site?While many local search sites like Google Maps let you edit your online business information for free, including rich information such as photos and business hours, WebListings makes it easy to do it all from one place. In addition, we send out your information to multiple local search sites each month so it stays up-to-date.

How do potential customers find my business listing?While a few customers will search for your business by name, most customers search for a type of business in a particular location. For example, if you own a shoe repair shop in San Francisco, you want to be found when a customer searches for "shoe repair in San Francisco."

I don't have a storefront for my business. Can I use WebListings?As long as you want to be found by customers in your local area, WebListings is right for your business. I already submitted my website to search engines. How long does it take for my business listing to be updated on the Internet?You can update your business listing on WebListings at any time. Please note that it may require 2-6 weeks for your listing to be updated across the local search sites.

Does WebListings guarantee that my business listing will be updated on online business directories?While WebListings works closely with local search sites to send frequent business listing updates, we cannot guarantee that all sites will update your listing exactly as you specify, nor that they display all information that WebListings collects.
